Free Template: How I track my expenses

I have been quite diligent about tracking my income and portfolio allocation since my mid-twenties.

Back then, I also attempted to track my expenses, but found it too tiring to maintain.

A few months ago, after a conversation with Asher Chua, I felt inspired and decided to give it another try.

For a long time, I assumed I was relatively frugal because I do not own a car or branded bags, rarely drink alcohol or care much about watches.

However, I realized there are still areas where I tend to overspend. These include food delivery and random beauty products that I do not use regularly.

Becoming more aware of where my money is going has helped me be more intentional with my spending.

Time flies and it is already mid-September 2025. We have just over three months left in the year.

If taking better care of your finances is something you have been thinking about, this is a great time to start.

Tracking your expenses build awareness and gives you more control over where your money is going.

To make it easier, I created a free Notion template that you are welcome to use. It is simple to set up and you can start using it today.
